Paper Car · effective 15 October 2026
Paper Car is a driving game. It keeps as little about you as it can: no email address, no password, no advertising, no tracking, no analytics. This page lists everything there is.
If you never sign the page
Free drive and unranked runs need no account and send nothing about you to us. Your settings and your best scores on this device stay on this device.
If you put a name on the leaderboard
Signing the page creates an account made of:
- The name you choose. It appears publicly on the leaderboards. Please don't use your full real name.
- A random account ID and secret key. The key stays on your device (it is your "recovery code"); we keep only a one-way hash of it.
When you play, we store:
- Your timed runs: how much of the city you painted, your points, and when you played (and which day, for Today's City).
- Your Red vs Blue matches: who played, the score, the result and your rating, recorded by the match server, not by your device.
- Reports you make about other players' names, tied to your account.
Things that pass through but aren't kept as yours
- Your IP address is used to stop abuse (rate limits, and to count a report from someone who isn't signed in, as a one-way hash). Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived request logs as part of running the service.
- Daily reminders in the iOS app are scheduled by your phone itself. We don't send them and don't know whether you turned them on.
Who sees it
Your name, scores, match results and rating are public on the leaderboards. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else. The game runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data on our behalf.
Deleting it
Open your page in the game and choose delete my name and scores. That removes your name, your account and every run straight away. Players you raced keep their own match results, which no longer point to you. If you've lost access to your account, email us and we'll remove it.
Children
The game is for all ages. We don't ask for anyone's age, email or real name, and names that look offensive are filtered and can be reported and removed.
Changes and contact
If this changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date. Questions: support@papercar.app.
